FOUNDER and MASTER INSTRUCTOR...
Kyoshi Chris Colombo started his martial arts training in 1978 in the traditional art of Issinryu Karate. The next step was Jujitsu... and the love affair began. Kyoshi then earned rank in Jukido Jujitsu, and Aiki-Jutsu which brought him to train with the Pioneers of Jujitsu, Professor Florendo Malcruz Visitacion (Prof. Vee) the founder of Vee-Arnis Jitsu and Soke Lil' John Davis, the founder of Kumite Ryu Jujitsu. Kyoshi Colombo now teaches a combination of these arts and calls it... KUMITE RYU ARNIS JITSU. Kyoshi Colombo currently holds the rank of 7th Degree Black Belt in Kumite Ryu Jujitsu under Soke Lil' John Davis. Teaching is his passion!

THE SCHOOLS BEGINNING...
When "Kyoshi" Colombo was referred to as "Sensei" when he started teaching at Master Tommy May's school in New Rochelle part time on Saturdays. Then he moved on to teaching at a variety of locations... the YMCA, a health club, etc. it was 1988 that he decided to take the plunge into the world of professional martial arts instruction. He rented a small space in New Rochelle and started Westchester Jujitsu Ltd. in November of 1988, incorporating the business in 1989. Later Sensei was promoted to Shihan by Professor Vee and he then changed the name to East West Karate Jujitsu Studios (for name recognition)... many people did not know what Jujitsu was and just putting the "Karate" in the name helped greatly. It was 2007 when Kyoshi decide to make another change by joining one of the top martial arts organizations in the world... PREMIER MARTIAL ARTS! The awesome kickboxing, grappling and MMA attracted him to this young but professional organization. While keeping with many of the old traditions that made him successful such as keeping up with his training in Kumite Ryu Jujitsu with Soke' Lil' John Davis; he has shown his ability to continue to be pro-active in training and adapting to the ever changing martial arts world.
